Found My "Faith" Living In "Sin"

There Is No Title For Love

The record’s spinning round and round,

And my heart is beating non-stop.

When you walk in and say,

You would marry me if I were 22,

But I’m only 19.

So, what’s the deal with being in a hurry?

Time is something that is just our lie.

Like the time you said you were fine.

Who’s to say we need this now?

Nothing is out there

But the whole world.

And the ease of this pain

Is what sooths your burn,

Like the time we kissed in the rain.

If only my math was better,

I could add a few numbers.

But all I have is my creativity,

So I’ll just build a home

That will last.

And now we’re dancing round and round,

Like the King and Queen.

When you whisper in my ear and say,

You would marry me if I were 22,

But I’m only 19.

Maybe this is just the test?

To see what moments last

Until the sunset.

Sunshine is the kiss that keeps on giving

Besides the lips of your honey.

And the combination we’ve created

Is like the wrist watch my father bought,

Never dying.

One last turn,

And one last kiss when we realize

The music’s fading.

And now we’re just swaying.

When you walk away and say,

You would marry me if I were 22,

But I’m only 19.

First Piece Of Music?

What was the first CD, Cassette, record, or piece of music you ever remember getting?

Me, Elvis!

And today, it’s an Elvis day. :)

I’m watching Jailhouse Rock and listening to his music whilst finishing this Spanish paper.

After this paper, I’m done for the year besides work! :)

Yay!!!!

Viva Elvis!

As many know, I am a Titanic fan. Not in a creepy way, I am just fascinated with the time period, the dress, machinery, and everything Titanic stood for and now stands for 100 years later.

The first movie I really remember getting was the Titanic History Channel Movie on VHS. I practically wore it out by watching it so much. Then came the James Cameron Titanic after on VHS, books on Titanic in the Elementary library, and just books purchased form book stores. Then the Titanic Museum that came to St. Paul in 1998 or so. I honestly cannot remember the year, but it was the last time her whistle blew and let me tell you I can still hear it loud and clear! People from the highway far away could hear it in traffic.

I remember looking at the clothes, artifacts, everything that was there, the porthole stuck in water, and finally the list of all the names carved in marble (or something like it). It seemed to have gone on forever. I even remember the smell of everything. Weird, I know, but true!

Then another museum came to the Science Museum later year I believe, maybe the year before that. And I got to see the different artifacts they had collected since that time. I was excited to go! Though I was disappointed they didn’t have really any clothes, and that is was more kid friendly. Yes, in 1998 I was  WHOLE LOT younger but I seemed to have gotten more out of it than at the Science Museum. At the gift shop I got some more movies and knick knacks, when a world renound Titanic Historian just walked up to me and started talking. I didn’t know it until I read a book next to him and the the name he introduced himself as, clicked! HOLY BALLS!! I was freaking out, and asked him to sign a book I had purchased. I told him I went to the original museum way back when, he looked up at me and said, “Really? I’m surprised, you seem so young. I am glad you are keeping her memory alive.” And with that he finished signing my book and smiled.

So, in all, I really am just fascinated by this ship. What messages it send us to the people of today, and beyond. And yup, you can say it, I am a weirdo! A proud one at that!

Days Are Like Moments, Just Extended.

Some days life doesn’t go how I want it to

and some days pass by like the river to my left.

So here’s my hope that I’ll keep living this life like my heart is beating for two

and just because there may be two lives

it doesn’t mean it make this whole thing any easier.

And I’ll dream that this neighbor of mine will make it through the night

just one more time.

It takes a little bit of hope

that I’ll keep living this life like my heart is beating for two

just to make sure that someone special can see that

some days life doesn’t go how we want it

and some days pass like the river to our left.

We have to see that we are not as far apart as it seems

because we all have little moments that change our lives

to become more human.
