Jeesh, 10 things that no one knows about me. Talk about a challenge! But, I am up for it. I have no idea how well I will complete it, but oh well!

10 Things:

1. I procrastinate a lot. I know I shouldn’t but I do. Sometimes with studying. That can bite me in the long run but when there are so many other things that are entertaining..like reading a “fun” book…it wins every time.

2. I’m an animal lover (for the most part). Insects and all that not so much. But dogs, cats, birds, those types of animals, make me happy. It helps when my roommate has horses too!

3. I miss the good ‘ol cartoons like ‘Hey Arnold’, ‘Rugrats’, ‘Recess’. Today’s, well, I’ll pass thank you very much. Nick at Nite! I’m a kid at heart even if I don’t let everyone see it.

4. I have every Elvis movie…and many, many of his CD’s. Can’t go wrong with Elvis.

5. I am attracted to people who have gone through hard times. It’s like I’m magnetized to them and I don’t even realize it.

6. I love The Sims!

7. Ikea is my friend! I wish I could buy more things from there. I guess I will just have to wait.

8. I love taking random road trips or day trips.

9. Sometimes I feel I was born in the wrong era.

10. I was born 4 months early and weighed 1 pound 10 ounces.

Something no one else knows about me. Hmm.. this is a hard one since for the most part I am pretty open about myself.

I would have to say that I know a lot of random useless information, like dates of random stuff that will never be useful unless playing Trivial Pursuit. I can remember things when I want to but if I don’t, well that’s a whole other story. Haha. So for the random stuff I do like I  remember. For instance, “Where did Elvis first perform?” to “What was the date and time that the Titanic set sail and later on sink?”…I’m your girl. Haha.

7  Things About Me:

First off, I must admit when I started thinking of facts about myself I was like, “uhhhhh.. I can’t think of anything!” Well, I hope you enjoy some fun facts, if not please forgive me.

1. I am a Junior in college still living in my home state of Minnesota. I couldn’t leave this frozen tundra just yet! Though right now it’s not as cold as it should be! Sad day. Before I became a Social Work major I was a Special Education major but now found my home with all of my Social Work friends.

2. I love traveling and wish I had more time to travel now. When I was younger my family and I would always take road trips to random places. Some of the places I’ve been to are Memphis, TN, Nashville, TN, Austin TX, Phoenix, AZ, Jerome, AZ, The Grand Canyon, Sedona, AZ, The Black Hills, Orlando, FL, Mexico, The Bahamas, some random city in FL (that trip was unplanned and decided to go the night before. Drove all day and night! If I remember right it took around 24 hours), and plenty more!

3. I’ve been on two helicopter rides and a hot air ballon ride before the age of 16. For the helicopter rides they were amazing the first time was in Sedona, AZ seeing all of the red rocks and the second time was part of a package deal my friend and I got when we visited the Grand Canyon. That was BEAUTIFUL! As for the hot air balloon ride it was a gift from my brother (what a great big bro I have!). It was amazingly beautiful and I would be more than willing to do it again. The only down side is waking up at 3 am to be ready in time for “lift off” (that’s what I called it, haha).

4. On a regular basis I naturally look at the clock when it is 11:11. Just some weird quirk.

5. I am the youngest in my family. My parents joke with me that I cannot get away with anything  since they have already had to raise 4 other kids before and they know all the tricks. Just to let you all know, my parents are pretty cool Even my friends say so..so that must mean something, right.

6. In high school I was in Concert Choir and sang all of the time. I miss it and now just sing for fun. On a trip to Chicago back in High School we saw the ‘Blue Man Group’ with front row seats! ‘Twas a BLAST! But, the best thing on the trip was taking a random trip to a homeless shelter with just one other friend and spent the night talking to people.

Lastly,

7.  My life has been one filled with many facets and paths that have led me to many avenues and street names of different faces, places, and beliefs. These experiences have shown me that I am not by any means perfect or will I ever claim to be. I guess you could say that through my life and the people in it I have learned to be a bottom feeder, a person with many other people, organisms and other things that are on the bottom of the floor where it is safe and real. The ground, though sometimes shaky, is not too often filled with those of platinum blonde hair that is bleached monthly, to faces filled with Botox that can no longer smile, and everything plastic, but on the bottom with real people, real smiles, real laughter.

So, I awoke this morning (like many do, I hope) and checked my email before I went to work. I saw that I had been nominated for the Liebster award!!
