I am a treasure hunter for all things, well, most things. If I find love and happiness I will end my pirate ways. I’m a free spirit with an old soul that takes the time to enjoy the little things in life. Sometimes my heart beats so fast it feels like a railroad track, and my breath is a train I can’t catch. So, I take the time to write as much as I can for I never know when I will not be the real me.

I am a Social Work student and Spanish minor who loves language. A Minnesota native born and raised, I hope to learn more as I grow. As my father once told me, “People think knowledge is power. I don’t think that is true, applied knowledge is power.” What my father told me has been with me ever since and I just hope to apply all that I can with the ideas and knowledge I continue to gain. I love music, especially what most people would consider “The Oldies”. Give me Sarah Vaughn, Elvis, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, Fats Domino, Tony Bennett, Shirley Horn, The Rat Pack, and a whole lot more. Just to give you a clue I have over 10,000 songs on my iTunes…

As it says in my About, I’d rather read than eat most of the time, and writing is next on my list of essential pursuits. In my 61 years I’ve built up a lot of angst, and writing is my favorite way to keep it manageable.
I like the look of your site, and I’m looking forward to reading some of your work; haven’t yet had a chance to do that, but I will, never fear….being retired is cool in one sense; I get to decide what to do every minute of every day, and reading new stuff, and holding dialogue with ffolkes is one of my all time favorites.
